Alex Koran

Alex Koran, 63, of Walnutport, passed away Saturday, April 8, 2023, in his home. He was the husband of
Georgina M. (Rowbottom) Koran, whom he married June 19, 1999. Born in Allentown on January 4,
1960, he was the son of the late Fred and Arlene (Sosoka) Koran.

Alex was a US Air Force veteran, serving from 1977-1995, and retired with the rank of Master Sargent.
He was currently a Regional Vice President with Primerica.

An active trap shooter, Alex was president of the Suburban Trapshooters League, member of the Lehigh
Valley Trapshooter League and the Amateur Trapshooting Association. He was a member of Concordia
Lutheran Church, Northampton, the American Legion Oplinger Hower Post 899, Lehigh Township,
Board member of the North End Rod & Gun Club, East Bath Rod & Gun Club, and a lifetime member of the Blue Ridge Rod & Gun Club.

In addition to his wife Gina, he will be lovingly remembered by a son: Alex Douglas Koran of CO;
daughter: Jennifer Arlene and husband Cheyne Robinson of OK; grandchildren: Madilyn, Khloe; sisters:
Linda Schantz, Eileen Bond; many nieces & nephews.

A funeral service will be held at 11AM on Saturday, April 15, 2023, at Harding Funeral Home, 25-27 N.
Second Street, Slatington, PA. Family and friends may pay their respects from 9 to 11AM. Burial with
military honors to follow at Union Cemetery, Slatington. In lieu of flowers, Alex’s wish is you support
your local sporting clubs especially the youth programs that teach safety, respect, and responsibility.
