Ann Loy

Ann Louise Loy nee Green, 83 of Slatington passed away Thursday February 22, 2018 in her home.  She was the wife of William M. Loy, Jr. of Slatington; they were married on August 6, 1960.  Born in Slatington, she was the daughter of the late Stella (Redline) Green.  Ann was a graduate of Slatington H.S. and Kutztown State College, cum laude.  She worked for the PA Department of Labor & Industry until retiring in 1997.  Prior to that, she taught remedial reading and math for the Carbon Lehigh Intermediate Unit, and also worked for the New Tripoli Bank.  Ann was a member of the Order of the Eastern Star, Heidelberg UCC, and friend of the United Presbyterian Church of Slatington.  She loved to read, play golf, and go camping with her family and dog.
In addition to her husband, she is survived by sons: Michael W. Loy of Camp Hill, Mark W. Loy and wife Carol of Bernville; Granddaughter: Jessica Ann Loy; Sisters: Madeline Krawchuk, Elaine Jones, Eunice and husband Lewis Smith, Diane Schlauch, Donna and husband John Stahler, Colleen and husband Larry Bleiler; Brothers: Sherwood Green and wife Irene, Dennis Green and wife Jo Ann.
A memorial service will be held at 11 A.M. on Saturday March 10, 2018 at Heidelberg United Church of Christ, 5187 Irvin Rd, Slatington.  Calling hour 10 to 11 A.M. at the church.  Arrangements are being handled by Harding Funeral Home, Slatington.
