Ann C. Nestor, 95, formerly of Walnutport, passed away Sunday, March 10, 2024, at South Mountain Memory Care, Emmaus. She was the wife of the late John J. Nestor, who passed away in 1983. Ann was a sassy New Yorker who was born in the Bronx on July 24, 1928, to the late Rutledge and Mary (Grant) Potter. She met her husband in New York, where they began to raise their children. The family relocated to Bellingham, MA following John’s career travels. Ultimately, they had one more move and settled in the Lehigh Valley, where their children grew up and started families of their own. A dedicated housewife and mother, she did work briefly in retail for the former Hess’ Brothers, and Bon Ton. Ann was a member of St. Nicholas Catholic Church, Walnutport. Her family wishes to thank the staff at South Mountain Memory Care for the exceptional care and love shown to Ann.
She is survived by sons: John F. Nestor and wife Karen of Emmaus, Edward M. Nestor and wife Jodi of Kunkletown; daughter: Eileen wife of the late George Watson of Walnutport; grandchildren: Tracy and husband Matt Schilling, Adam Nestor, Ryan Nestor and partner Jennifer Spengler, Maryellen and husband Devin Driscoll, Sarah Watson and partner Jason Conklin, Maureen and husband Nick Forte; great-grandchildren: Sydney, Zachary, Jameson, Cameron, Ashton, Irelyn, Juliette, Emma, Nicholas, Evelyn; brother: James Potter. She was predeceased by siblings, Edward, Richard, and Mary Potter.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11AM on Monday, March 18, 2024, at Assumption BVM Catholic Church, 649 W. Washington Street, Slatington. Family and friends may pay their respects from 10 to 11AM. Interment will be held at Resurrection Cemetery, Allentown. Arrangements are being handled by Harding Funeral Home, Slatington.
