Barbara Ruch

Barbara A. Ruch, 86, of Walnutport, passed away Wednesday, August 25, 2021, in her home.   She was the wife of the late William Strohl and Willoughby Ruch.   Born in Palmerton on July 25, 1935, she was the daughter of the Russell and Tessie E. (McFarland) Nicholas.    Barbara worked in the garment industry for various local factories.
She is survived by children: Richard Strohl and wife Penny of New Ringgold, Mitchell D. Strohl of Walnutport, Stanley J. Ruch of Walnutport, Christopher Ruch and wife Paulette of Walnutport, Kathy and husband Randy Kunkle of Walnutport; Stepchildren: Thomas, Larry, Cindy & Janice;  9 grandchildren; 9 great-grandchildren; brother: Paul Nicholas and wife Jo;  She was predeceased by a grandson Shawn Strohl and siblings Lee & Herbert Nicholas, Alice Haupt, Margaret Rex, & Ellen Nicholas,
A funeral service will be held at 11AM on Monday, August 30, 2021, at Harding Funeral Home, 25-27 N. Second Street, Slatington PA.  Family and friends may pay their respects from 10 to 11AM.  Interment to follow at Union Cemetery, Slatington.
