Barbara M. Tobisch

Barbara M. Tobisch, 85, of Walnutport, passed away Sunday, January 1, 2023, in her home.  She was the wife of Rupert Tobisch, whom she married on November 3, 1962.    Born in Brooklyn, she was the daughter of the late Anton and Lina (Krauss) Mandl.   Barbara worked as a cafeteria worker for Lehigh Elementary School, and Lehigh University.    She was a member of Assumption BVM Catholic Church, Slatington and a former member of Hope Lutheran Church, Cherryville.   
In addition to her husband Rupert, she will be lovingly remembered by sons; Fred Tobisch and wife Angela of Pittston, Bryan Tobisch of Philadelphia; grandchildren: Mercedes, Alfonso, James, Maria, Libby, AJ, Lilly; great-grandchildren; Emily, William, Ryleigh, Peyton, Jake, Aubrey.   Barbara was pre-deceased by her daughter Karen Kasper in 2021.
A memorial mass will be celebrated at 11AM on Saturday, January 7, 2023, at Assumption BVM Catholic Church, 649 W. Washington St, Slatington.   A visitation period will be held from 10 to 11AM at church.  Burial of cremains to follow at the parish cemetery.   Arrangements are being handled by Harding Funeral Home, Slatington.
