Betty Peters

Betty C. Peters, 70 of Mayville, NY, formerly of Slatington, passed away Sunday March 4, 2018 in her home.  She was the wife of late Jacob S. Peters.  Born in Mantzville, she was the daughter of the late Leon and Alma (Rex) Miller.   Betty was a long time member of the Slatington Moose, and was in charge of coordinating all their banquets and breakfasts.   She also was in charge of cleaning for the Moose as well as the Slatington Post Office for many years.  Betty enjoyed plastic canvas art, making Easter baskets and Christmas stocking decorations for all her loved ones.
She is survived by children: Susan Conrad, James and Chris Hettler; Grandchildren: Gerry and Bryan Conrad; Brother: Louis “Butch”Hoffman; Sister: Ruth Easterday; 3 nieces and 3 nephews.  She is pre-deceased by brothers Delbert and Vernon Miller
A funeral service will be held at 11 A.M. Friday March 9, 2018at Harding Funeral Home, 25-27 N. Second St, Slatington.  Calling hour 10-11 at the funeral home.  Interment to follow at Friedens Cemetery, Slatington.
