Blanche E. Montrom, 93, of Slatington, passed away peacefully Monday March 25, 2024, in her home. She was the wife of the late Dr. Stanley C. Montrom, who passed away in 2002. Born in Alpha, NJ, she was the daughter of the late Charles and Edna B. (Lewis) Oberly. Blanche was a graduate of Phillipsburg High School, Class of 1949, and participated in the Earl Held’s all girl’s band. She began her career working briefly in the dental profession. She then worked alongside her husband as office manager of his Osteopathic medicine practice. Blanche was a faithful parishioner of Assumption BVM Catholic Church, Slatington.
She will be lovingly remembered by sons, Stanley C. Montrom, Jr. and wife Nancy of Walnutport, Terran S. Montrom of Slatington; daughter, Narda Montrom of Lehighton; Grandchildren, Nadia and husband Ethan Brewer, Giuseppe Caruso and fiancé Tiffany, Sergio Caruso, Stanley C. Montrom, III, Samantha and husband Danny Carden; great-grandchildren, Riley, Danny III; beloved dog, Pedro, as well as nephews. She was predeceased by siblings, Charles “Bud” Oberly, Catherine Bright.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11AM on Tuesday, April 2, 2024, at Assumption BVM Catholic Church, 649 W. Washington St, Slatington. Family and friends may pay their respects from 6 to 8PM on Monday, April 1, 2024, at Harding Funeral Home, 25-27 N. Second St, Slatington. Burial to follow mass at Union Cemetery, Slatington. In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made to Assumption BVM Memorial Fund.
