Brian Kistler

Brian D. Kistler, 66, of Jim Thorpe, passed away Thursday, January 13, 2022, at St. Luke’s Carbon Campus.   He was the husband of Michele M. (Muthard) Kistler, whom he married on June 1, 1991.  Born in Palmerton on May 23, 1955, he was the son of the late Roy and Esther (Kibler) Kistler.   Brian was a graduate of Slatington High School, Class of 1973.    He was self employed as the owner/operator of Brian D. Kistler Roofing, Inc. for 21 years, retiring in 2013.   Prior to that, he worked for the Roofers Union Local 30B, of Philadelphia.   Brian was an avid hunter and fisherman and was a member of the Palmerton Fishing & Hunting Association.
In addition to his wife Michele, he is survived by a daughter, Lauren Kistler and fiancé Stephen Wanamaker of Lehighton; Grandchildren: Blake Booth, Karlee Wanamaker; brother; Dennis Kistler and wife Theresa of Slatington.
A memorial service will be held at 3:30PM on Saturday, January 22, 2022, at Harding Funeral Home, 25-27 N. Second Street, Slatington.   Family and friends may pay their respects from 2 to 3:30PM.   In lieu of flowers, contributions in Brian’s name may be made to the Palmerton Hunting & Fishing Association, c/o the funeral home.
