Carolyn M. Thurston, 69, of Walnutport, passed away August 9, 2012 in her home. She was the wife of Joseph E. Thurston, they celebrated their 29th wedding anniversary this past June. Born in York, she was the daughter of the late Estella (Daniel) & Carlean Jimerson Sr. She graduated from Suburban High School in York, PA. Carolyn worked in special products assembly for Harley-Davidson Motor Co. in York PA for 17 years and she was a Certified Nursing Assistant for six years at Gracedale Northampton County Home before retiring. She was a member of Women Unlimited, Lehigh Twp.Lioness's and was the Chinese Auction organizer for the Lehigh Twp. Fire Company.

Survivors: Husband, daughters, Judith L. Bofah and Ruth B. Thurston, both of Glendale Heights, IL, granddaughter, Jolynn F. Bofah of Glendale Heights, IL, brothers & sisters, Clara Moore, Sarah Jimerson, Carlean Jimerson Jr. & wife Freda, Juanita & husband Ed Burns, Warren Hartzog all of York, PA, Roy Hartzog of Mechanicsburg, PA, many nieces, nephews and cousins. Carolyn was predeceased by her mother, father and her brother Melvin Lee Jimerson.

Services: 11:00am, Tuesday, August 14, 2012 at First Presbyterian Church, 3231 Tilghman St., Allentown, PA 18104. Calling, 10-11:00am at the church. Arrangements: Harding Funeral Home, Slatington, PA.
