Charles A. “Chuck” Dye, 81, of Slatington, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, April 30, 2024, at Cornerstone Living, New Tripoli. He was the husband of Adah Susanne (McKinney) Dye, whom he married on May 28, 1962. Born in Painesville, OH on August 31, 1942, he was the son of the late Ira A. and Ethel (Szabo) Dye. Chuck retired from Applied Technologies (formerly Bearings, Inc.) after 43 years of working in sales & management. He had an incredible talent for negotiating deals both in business and in personal interests. He won several awards recognizing his achievements and was known to share his knowledge to help others succeed. In his free time, he could be found golfing, hunting, snowmobiling, riding a tractor, or enjoying time with his family at his camp in Forrest County.
In addition to his wife Susanne, he will be lovingly remembered by his daughters: Michele and husband James Pompa of Jim Thorpe, Cherie and husband Brian Bachman of Lehighton, Crystal Dye of New Tripoli; son: Brian Dye and wife Elissa of Slatington; Grandchildren: Jimmy Pompa and wife Brittany, Alyssa Bachman, Branden Dye, Anthony Joseph Pompa, Colton Bachman, Brice Dye, Brody Dye; great-grandchildren: Lucas, Seth, Vivian; sister: Marilyn and husband Gary Schrag of OH; sister-in-law: Bettie Dye. He was predeceased by a brother, Delbert Dye.
Private family services will be held. No public calling hours. Chuck will be laid to rest on the family’s property in Forest County. Arrangements are being handled by Harding Funeral Home, Slatington.
