Charles Easterday

Charles D. Easterday, 91, of Walnutport, passed away Saturday January 6, 2018 in his home.  He was the husband of Hilda E. (Smith) Easterday; they were married on January 15, 1945.  Born in Cherryville, he was the son of the late Charles and Beulah (Miller) Easterday.  Charles served in the U.S. Navy during WWII.  He worked as a mechanic for the former Modern Transfer of Allentown.  He was a member of Christ U.C.C., Walnutport.

Survivors:   Wife; Sons: Larry D. Easterday and wife Victoria of Bangor, Richard D. Easterday and wife Karen of Danielsville; Grandson: Larry; Great Grandson: Logan; Many Nieces & Nephews.  He was pre-deceased by sisters, Grace Oplinger, Joyce Hofmann, Pauline Clifton and Evelyn Jones.

Services:  11A.M. Thursday January 11, 2018 at Harding Funeral Home, 25-27 N. Second St, Slatington. PA.  Calling hour 10-11 A.M. at the funeral home.  Interment to follow at Indianland Cemetery, Cherryville.
