Claude H. Biegly, Jr.

Claude H. “Butch” Biegly, Jr., 73, of Slatedale, passed away Wednesday, March 29, 2023, at Lehigh Valley Hospital, Cedar Crest.   He was the husband of Ellen C. (Mack) Biegly, whom he married on May 6, 1972.    Born in Northampton on January 13, 1950, he was the son of the late Claude H. Sr., and Edna L. (Handwerk) Biegly.    Claude was a graduate of Slatington High School, Class of 1968.   He worked for Kraft Foods for 36 years as a forklift operator.    Butch was a member of Good Shepherd UCC, Slatington, and a former member of the Slatedale Fire Police.
In addition to his wife Ellen, he will be lovingly remembered by his daughters: Lori Biegly and companion Brent Meinhart of Slatedale, Denise Biegly and companion Tim Gad of Slatington; grandchildren: Mason, Emily, Alexis, Lauren, Lily.   Claude was predeceased by a daughter, Lucinda Wirth.
A funeral service will be held at 11AM on Tuesday, April 4, 2023, at Harding Funeral Home, 25-27 N. Second Street, Slatington.   Family and friends may pay their respects from 10:30 to 11AM.   Interment to follow at Slatedale Cemetery.   In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made to Good Shepherd UCC, 3940 Mountain Road, Slatington PA 18080.
