Clayton Snyder

Clayton E. Snyder, 85, of Slatington, passed away, Tuesday, March 18, 2014 in St. Luke's Hospital, Allentown Campus. He was the husband of the late Elizabeth L. (Pinter) Snyder, who died in 2011. Born in Slatington, he was the son of the late Earl F. and Adele (Rex) Snyder. Clayton was in the US Army, serving two tours, one if the Philippines and one state side. He worked for the Deer Park Water Co and prior to that he worked at the American Nickeloid Co. in Walnutport. He was a member of St. John's Lutheran Church, Slatington. Clayton served as past governor of the Moose, former assistant fire chief and past president of Springside Fire Co., former councilman of the Slatington Borough, and past president of the American Legion Post 16, Slatington.

Survivors: Sister, Lucille Shook, brother, Dale Snyder, nephew, Earl Snyder Sr., niece, Louise Male and their families along with many nephews and nieces. Clayton was the "Patriarch of the Snyder Family"쳌.

Services: 1:00pm, Saturday, March 22, 2014 at Harding Funeral Home, 25-27 N. Second St., Slatington. Calling, 11:30am-1:00pm at the funeral home. Interment with Military Honors to follow at Union Cemetery, Slatington.
