Dale H. Wertman

Dale H. Wertman, 72, of Slatington, passed away peacefully on Monday, March 20, 2023.   He was the husband of Rosemarie A. (Peischler) Wertman, whom he married on June 9, 1973.   Born in Northampton, he was the son of the late Kenneth and Marie (Schertzinger) Wertman.  Dale was the owner / operator of Wertman’s Lawn & Landscape Service.  Prior to, he worked for the former O. Peischler Co. and for Weis Markets in Whitehall.    Dale was a member of Holy Trinity Lutheran Church, Slatedale, and a member of the Slatington Masonic Lodge 440 F & AM.  Dale was an exceptional man with a heart of gold.   Dale adored his family above anything else.  He treasured the time he spent with both family and friends.  Those who were fortunate enough to have known him will grieve his passing greatly.

In addition to his wife Rosemarie, he will be lovingly remembered by daughters: Ashley Hineman and husband Mark; Courtney Wertman-Stambaugh and husband Philip; grandchildren: Averie Rose, Luke Brian, Brooklyn Isabella; niece: Michele Hunsicker; nephews: Gregory and Michael Schuck; and numerous extended family members.   Dale was pre-deceased by son, Zachary Dale Wertman, sister, Diane Schuck, and niece, Gretchen Schuck -Hartranft.  

A viewing will be held from 9:30 to 11:30AM on Saturday March 25, 2023, at Harding Funeral Home, 25-27 N. Second Street, Slatington, with masonic service to be held at the conclusion of the viewing.   Funeral service to follow at 11:30AM.  Burial to conclude services at Slatedale Cemetery.    In lieu of flowers, contributions in Dale’s name can be made to Shriner’s Hospital for Children, 3551 N. Broad Street, Philadelphia, PA 19140.
