Darlene J. Rhoades

Darlene J. Rhoades, 83, formerly of Slatington, passed away Thursday, March 2, 2023, at Neshaminy Manor.   Born in Slatington on May 8, 1939, she was the daughter of the late Gordon S. and Joyce C. (Druckenmiller) Christman.   She was the former wife of late Arthur Rhoades from 1959 to 1981.  From 1986 to 2000, Darlene worked for the American Cancer Society, Lehigh Valley Unit as a field representative in charge of patient services and public education.   Prior to that, she was an office nurse for Dr. Robert Muschlitz, Dr. Robert Beitel, and Internal Medicine Associates at Palmerton Hospital.

She will be lovingly remembered by a daughter: Lori D. Rhoades of Dublin; Grandsons: Aaron R. Coyne; Gavin A. Coyne and wife Erica; great-grandson: Riley; brother: Ray Christman and wife Fianna; sister: Denise (Christman) Frable, wife of the late Roy Frable; nephews: Ryan Christman, Troy Frable; niece: Megan Pascoe; great-niece: Stephanie Jane Frable.

A graveside service will be held at 1:30PM on Saturday, March 11, 2023, at Union Cemetery, PA Rte 873, Slatington.  No Calling hours.   Arrangements are being handled by Harding Funeral Home, Slatington.
