David A. Hedmeck

David A. Hedmeck, 72, of Lehighton, formerly of Slatington, passed away Sunday, August 18, 2024, in his home. Born in Lehighton on February 18, 1952, he was the son of the late John Hedmeck and Doris (Cunfer) Hartman. David was an engineer for Norfolk Southern Railway for many years before retiring. Prior to, he was self employed as the owner of Hedmeck’s Custom Cabinetry.

He will be lovingly remembered by his son: Allen D. Hedmeck and wife Jennifer of SC; grandchildren: Lucas & Landon; Companion: Judy Haydt; brothers: John Hedmeck of Walnutport, Paul Hedmeck of Lehighton. He was predeceased by a brother, Mark Hedmeck.

A memorial service will be held at 6PM on Thursday, August 22, 2024, at Harding Funeral Home, 25-27 N. 2nd Street, Slatington. Family and friends may pay their respects from 4:30 to 6PM. A continued celebration of David’s life will follow immediately at the American Legion Post 16, Slatington. 

In lieu of flowers, contributions in David’s name can be made to the American cancer Society, c/o the funeral home.
