Dennis Callahan

Dennis Callahan, of Kunkletown, passed away Sunday April 11,2021 in his residence, surrounded by his family.  He was the husband of Joanne A. (Marva) Callahan, of Slatington. Born in Union, New Jersey, he was the son of the late Marsby, and Blanch F. (Beers) Henninger.  Dennis was a lifelong independent truck driver. He also was an avid bowler, with Palmerton Legion League.

Survivors: Besides his wife. Son, Thomas D. Callahan, at home. Daughters, Dawn M. Callahan, of New Jersey, Tricia L. Callahan, of Slatington, Tammy L. Callahan, of Whitehaven. 7 Grandchildren. Brothers, Doug Callahan and wife, Betty, of New Jersey, Michael Callahan and wife, Pam, of Iowa. Sister, Carol Payne and Husband, Bill, of George. Many Nieces and Nephews.

Services: A funeral service will be held on Thursday, April 15, 2021, at 11:00 A.M. in the Harding Funeral Home Inc. 25-27 N. 2nd St., Slatington. Friends and relatives are invited to call from 10 A.M. to 11 A.M. in the funeral Home. Interment will follow in Slatedale Cemetery, Slatedale.
