Dolores F. Dengler

Dolores F. “Dolly” Dengler, 90, of Emerald, passed away suddenly on Saturday, September 28, 2024, at Lehigh Valley Hospital, Cedar Crest. She was the wife of the late Roy O. “Smokey” Dengler, who passed away this past May 19. Born on August 12, 1934, in Emerald, she was the daughter of the late Thomas Sr. and Anna (Jones) Scheffler. Dolly was a member of Ebenezer UCC, New Tripoli, and the Star Hose Company 1 and their Ladies Auxiliary. 

She will be lovingly remembered by her five children: Darlene and husband Hank Wise, Cindy Dengler, Diane and husband Tom Zeiser, Tom Dengler and wife Beverly Robinson, Dawn and husband Dean Remaley; grandchildren: Tom & Amy Zeiser, Christi Dengler, Cody Remaley; Great-Grandchildren: Cole & Kacey Zeiser, Autumn Remaley. She was pre-deceased by siblings, Jean Scheffler and Thomas Scheffler, Jr.

A funeral service will be held at 11AM on Saturday, October 5, 2024, at Ebenezer UCC, 7293 Decatur Rd, New Tripoli, PA. Family and friends may pay their respects from 10 to 11AM at church. Burial to follow at the church cemetery. In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made to either the church or the Star Hose Company 1, 7748 Penn St, Emerald PA 18080.
