Donald A. Felguieras

Donald A. "Donnie" Felguieras, 80, of Slatington, passed away Friday, December 30, 2022, at Lehigh Valley Hospital, Cedar Crest with his family by his side.  He was the husband of Harriet R. (Solt) Felguieras, whom he married June 1, 1963.  Born in Walnutport on January 2, 1942, he was the son of the late Antonio R. and Ruth (Schneck) Felguieras.   Donnie worked as a steel forger for Bonney Forge, formerly of Allentown from 1965 until his retirement in 2001 and was a member of the International Brotherhood of Boilermakers, Iron Ship Builders, Blacksmiths, Forgers & Helpers.   He attended St. John’s Lutheran Church, Slatington for many years.  He was an avid woodworker and fisherman, including many trips to Canada over the years. He enjoyed spending time on his tractor doing yard work.
In addition to his wife Harriet, he is survived by daughters: Angela and husband William Papay of Walnutport, Felicia Thomas of Walnutport, Melissa and husband Steven Wortmann of Nazareth; grandchildren: Brittani, Rachel, Alycia, Amber, Alexis, Morgan, Abigail, Matthew; sister: Arlene and husband Bill Barron of FL; sister-in-law: Kathy Kemp of Slatington; brother-in-law: Harrison Solt of CT and nieces and nephews.  He was pre-deceased by a son-in-law: Rich Thomas, and a sister, JoAnn Felguieras.
A graveside service will be held at 11AM on Saturday, January 14, 2023, at Slatedale Cemetery, 8468 Brown St, Slatedale.  No Calling hours.  Arrangements are being handled by Harding Funeral Home, Slatington.   In lieu of flowers, contributions in Donnie’s name can be made to St. John’s Lutheran Church, 40 S. Second Street, Slatington.
