Donald Wampole

April 6, 1936 — January 15, 2021

Donald M. Wampole, 84, of Slatington passed away Friday, January 15, 2021 at Lehigh Valley Hospital, Cedar Crest.   He was the husband of Miriam M. (Houser) Wampole, whom he married on November 21, 1971.   Born in East Greenville on April 6, 1936, he was the son of the late Francis and Ella Mae (Miller) Wampole.  Donald served his country honorably as a member of the US Air Force.    He was self-employed as owner/operator on Don’s Color TV on Susquehanna Street in Allentown.   After retirement from his business, he worked as a clerk for local Wine & Spirits stores.  Don was a member of Bethany Wesleyan Church, Cherryville and enjoyed bowling in several local leagues.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by children: Troy Wampole and wife Kimberly, Brian Wampole and wife Tammy, Barbara Behe, Jolene and husband Tom Blong, Virginia Wampole, Curtis Silfies and wife Faten, Karen and husband Donald Zimmerman.; many grandchildren and soon to be 1 great-grandchildren; twin brother: Ronald Wampole and wife Patricia.   He was predeceased by a daughter Donna Wampole.
