Doris M. Betzenberger

Doris M. Betzenberger, 91, of Slatington, passed away on Tuesday, May 9, 2023, in her home.    She was the wife of the late Robert R. Betzenberger, Jr., who passed away in 2001.    Born in Slatington on January 7, 1932, she was the daughter of the late William and Mae (Martz) Handwerk.   Doris was a lifelong member of St. John’s Lutheran Church, Slatington.   She was a member of the Alley Cat Bowling League, and a member of the Blue Spruce Riding Club in Alburtis.

She will be lovingly remembered by daughters: Judy and husband David Chies of VA, Jill and husband Kevin Stanley of Allentown; son: Eric Betzenberger of Slatington; grandchildren: Dan and Tom Chies; great-grandchildren: Jameson and Colton; sister: Marie Handwerk of Schnecksville; as well as nieces & nephews.  She was predecased by her sister, Nancy Heiney.

A memorial service will be held at 2PM on Thursday, May 25, 2023, at St. John's Lutheran Church, 40 S.
