Elaine McFarland

Elaine Y. McFarland, 90, of Slatington, passed away Monday April 28, 2014 in Manor Care nursing home, Allentown. She was the wife of the late Clair O. McFarland. Born in Fullerton, she was the daughter of the late Edgar and Cora (Queen) Boward. She attended Slatington High School, and worked at Seiler's Knitting Mill in Walnutport for many years.

Survivors: Daughters; Colleen wife of Earl Rumble, Yvonne wife of Larry Szoke both of Slatington. Sons; Darryl McFarland and wife Diane of Whitehall, Bruce McFarland and wife Judith of Slatington. 10 Grandchildren, 20 Great Grandchildren, 1 Great Great Grandchild. Sister; Brenda (Boward) Kern of MD. She was pre-deceased by sister Thelma (Boward) Benner, Brothers; Arlan, Wilmer, and Orrison Boward, and a grandson Scott McFarland.

Services: 11:00am, Thursday May 1, 2014 at Harding Funeral Home, 25-27 N. 2nd St., Slatington. Calling hour 10-11:00am at the funeral home. Interment to follow at Union Cemetery, Slatington.
