Eleanor Bird

Eleanor A. Bird, 90, of Walnutport passed away Thursday January 25, 2018 in her home.  She was the wife of the late William E. Bird.  Born in Emerald, she was one of fourteen children born to the late Matthew and Nora (Frantz) Roberts.   Eleanor was a member of TOPS – Take off pounds sensibly, and was the 2010 PA State Queen.  She loved gardening and crafts.
Survivors:  Daughters: Barbara Diefenderfer of Walnutport,  Patricia Bird of Lehighton, Tina M. and husband Matthew Bollinger of Slatington; Sons: Earl Bird and wife Patricia of South Carolina, Walter Bird and wife Kathy of New Mexico, Brian Bird and wife Diane of Slatington;  16 Grandchildren; 41 Great- Grandchildren; 9 Great-Great-Grandchildren; Son-in-law: James Marlow.  She was pre-deceased by a son Dale Bird and daughter Bonnie Marlow
Services:  11 A.M. Tuesday January 30, 2018 at Harding Funeral Home, 25-27 N. Second St, Slatington.  Calling hour 10-11 A.M. at the funeral home.  Interment to follow at Fairview Cemetery, Slatington.
