Ellen A. Hoffman, 67, of Slatington, passed away peacefully, July 7, 2010, in her home surrounded by her loving family. She was wife of Stanley E. Hoffman, they celebrated their 45th wedding anniversary this past May. Born in Slatington, she was the daughter of the late Samuel & Claudine (Scheffler) Smith. Ellen worked as an administrative secretary for 49 years at most recently known as F. L. Schmidt. She was the past secretary of the Slatedale Emerald Lioness Club and the Friedens Ladies Auxiliary.

Survivors: Husband, brothers, Wallace & wife Eleanor Smith of Slatington, Franklin Smith, Edward Smith of Cherry Hill, NJ, sister, Mary J. Sheckler of Walnutport.

Graveside Services: 11:00am, Monday, July 12, 2010 at Fairview Cemetery, Fairview St., Slatington, Arrangements: Harding Funeral Home, 25-27 N. 2nd St., Slatington.
