Ernest C. Peters



Ernest C. Peters, 80, of Walnutport, died Thursday, October 11, 2012 in the Inpatient Hospice Unit at Lehigh Valley Hospital. He was the husband of Elizabeth A. (Hilton) Peters. Born in Walnutport, he was the son of the late Clark M. and Mary (Kroboth) Peters. He served in the US Army during the Korean Conflict. Ernie worked for the former Bethlehem Steel retiring in 1985 as a foreman. He was a lifetime member of the Emerald Fire Co., Slatington Skeet Club, and Walnutport Rod Gun Club, and a member of the American Legion Post 16, Slatington.

Survivors: Wife, daughters, Eileen wife of Scott Gordon, Kim wife of Jim Horvath, son, Michael Peters and wife Debra all of Slatington, step-son, Sam Worthington, 5 Grandchildren, 1 Great Grandson, sisters, Joanne Buzinski, and Nancy wife of Del Hahn both of Walnutport. Ernest was predeceased by his brother Roland Peters.

Service: 11:00am, Monday, October 15, 2012 at Harding Funeral Home, 25-27 N. Second St., Slatington. Calling Period 10-11:00am at the funeral home. Interment to follow at Union Cemetery, Slatington.
