Eugene W. Hankee, Jr.

Eugene W. Hankee, Jr., 89, of Walnutport, passed away Thursday, February 10, 2022, at Lehigh Valley Muhlenberg Campus.  He was the husband of Jean (Vorosmarti) Hankee.   Born in Palmerton on October 8, 1932, he was the son of the late Eugene W. Sr., and Iona (Dettmer) Hankee.  Eugene was self employed as the owner / operator of Eugene W. Hankee, Jr. Plumbing & Heating for 42 years before retiring in 2003. 

In addition to his wife Jean, he is survived by a son: Eugene W. Hankee, III and wife Sue of Walnutport; daughters: Christine Diltz of Mertztown, Amy and husband Michael McDermott of Portland, OR; 5 grandchildren.

Services will be private, at the convenience of the family.  Arrangements are being handled by Harding Funeral Home, Slatington.   Contributions in Eugene’s memory can be made to a charity of choice.
