Franklin R. Solt

 Franklin R. Solt, 78, of Slatington, passed away unexpectedly Tuesday, December 5, 2023, in his home.   He was the husband of the late Peggy S. (Youse) Solt, who passed away March 9, 2023.   Born in Slatington, he was the son of the late Lloyd and Hilda (Hankee) Solt.    Frank served his country honorably and proudly as a member of the US Army during the Vietnam War.   He worked for the former Bethlehem Steel for 30 plus years as a crane operator.    Frank was a member of the American Legion Post 16, Slatington.  

Frank will be lovingly remembered by a sister: Iris Fogelman of Wescosville; brother-in-law: George Case of North Catasauqua.

A funeral service will be held at 11AM on Monday, December 11, 2023, at Harding Funeral Home, 25-27 N. Second Street, Slatington.   Family and friends may pay their respects from 10 to 11AM.  Interment to follow at Union Cemetery, Slatington.   In lieu of flowers, contributions in Frank’s memory can be made to St. John’s UCC, 15 S. 2nd St, Slatington PA 18080.
