Gale D. Seiler, 78, formerly of Walnutport, passed away Wednesday, December 21, 2022, at St. Luke’s Hospital, Anderson Campus. She was the wife of the late Ernest M. Seiler, III, who passed away in 2004. Born in Moore Township on July 1, 1944, she was the daughter of Kathryn M. (Dilcherd) Moyer of Bethlehem and the late Newton J. Moyer. Gale began her working years as a machine operator for the former Penn Keystone Knitting Mill, and Paris Accessories. She then was a food server for the Wood Company at Cedar Crest College, a teacher’s aide for Carbon Lehigh Intermediate Unit, and most recently worked as a telephone operator for St. Luke’s Hospital, Fountain Hill before retiring in 2011. Gale was a member of St. Nicholas Catholic Church, Walnutport.
Gale will be lovingly remembered by her daughters: Michele M. Smith and husband Raymond of Palmerton, Lynnette S. Seiler -Wirth and husband Matthew of Bethlehem Township; son-in-law: James F. Andrews of Coopersburg; grandchildren: Samantha D. Smith, Christopher J. & Michael J. Andrews. She was pre-deceased by her daughter Kelly L. Andrews on December 11, 2022, and her brother Ronald R. Moyer.
A Memorial Mass will be celebrated at 11AM on Wednesday, December 28, 2022, at St. Nicholas Catholic Church, 1152 Oak Road, Walnutport. Family and friends may visit with the family from 10 to 11AM at church. Burial of cremains to follow at Our Lady of Hungary Cemetery, Northampton. Arrangements are being handled by Harding Funeral Home, Slatington. In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made toward the future education needs for her deceased daughter, Kelly L. Andrews’ sons, Christopher, and Michael. Checks can be made payable to Harding Funeral Home, with Gale’s name in the memo.
