Geraldine E. Hewitt, 81, of Slatedale, passed away May 15, 2012 at Tranquil Living, Palmerton. She was the wife of the late Mark J. Hewitt. Born in Slatington, she was the daughter of the late, Clarence & Ida (Weiss) Schaffer. Geraldine was a factory worker for many years. She was a member of Good Shepherd UCC, Slatington.

Survivors: Son, Jeffrey & wife Michele Hewitt of Danielsville, daughter, Michele & husband Leroy "Lee"쳌 Bachman of Slatington, four grandchildren, three step grandchildren, four great grandchildren, five step great grandchildren, brother, Harlan Schaffer, sisters, Joan Zellner and Beverly Mack. Geraldine was predeceased by her brothers, William Schaffer and Staff Sgt. Blaine Schaffer and her sisters, Romaine Matto and Shirley Schaffer.

Services: Private at the convenience of the family. Arrangements, Harding Funeral Home, 25-27 N. 2nd St., Slatington.
