H. Newhart

Jean Newhart, 91, formerly of Schnecksville, died Tuesday April 9, 2013 at Luther Crest Health Center. She was the wife of the late Rev. Daniel F. Newhart. Born in Summit Hill PA she was the daughter of the late Thomas and Mary Ellen (Wall) Barr. Jean was a graduate of Bloomsburg College and worked as a secretary for the Fogelsville Elementary School. She was a member of Union Lutheran Church, Neffs.

Survivors: Sons, Thomas D. Newhart of Littlestown, PA, and Mark T. Newhart of Marietta, GA. 5 Grandchildren, sister, Ruth Sicilano, niece Ruth Ann Ehric.

Services: 11am, Monday April 15, 2013, Union Lutheran Church, 5500 PA Rte 873, Neffs. Calling hour, 10-11am at the church. Interment to follow at Neffs Union Cemetery. Arrangements are being handled by the Harding Funeral Home, Slatington, PA.
