Harley R. J. Fritz Jr., 71, of Walnutport, passed away July 13, 2009, in Lehigh Valley Hospital Center, Muhlenberg Campus. He was the husband of Shirley (Blose) Fritz, they celebrated their 53rd anniversary last November. Born in Slatington, he was the son of the late Edith (Knittle) and Harley Fritz Sr. Harley worked as a maintenance supervisor for Pillsbury before retiring, prior to that he worked at Everson Electric and Lehigh Structural Steel. He was a member of St. Paul's UCC, Indianland, where he was a member of the cemetery restoration committee. He was honorably discharged from the US Air Force.

Survivors: wife, son, Daniel & wife Donna Fritz of Danielsville, daughters, Linda & husband Michael Coy of South Carolina, Wanda & husband Gerald Brubaker of Schnecksville, six grandchildren, sister, Kathy Helwig of Orange, TX and many nieces & nephews.

Services: Saturday July 18, 2009 at 11:00am., St. Paul's UCC, 787 Almond Rd., Cherryville. Arrangements, Harding Funeral Home, 25-27 N. Second St., Slatington.
