Heather Lea Loar

Heather L. Loar, 42, of Tamaqua, formerly of Slatington, passed away unexpectedly on Monday, November 14, 2022, at St. Luke’s Hospital – Coaldale.  She was the wife of Jade M. Loar, whom she married on May 27, 2000.  Born in Allentown on March 12, 1980, she was the daughter of Brian and Diane (Dilcher) Bird of Slatington.   Heather was a graduate of Northern Lehigh High School.    She worked at the Walmart in Hazelton for a few years.   Heather was a die-hard fan of the Penn State Nittany Lions and the Miami Dolphins.

In addition to her husband and parents, she is survived by daughters: Alyssa and Madisen Loar; sisters: Christina wife of Anthony Hollowell, Sr. and Danielle Bird and partner Dan McCoy ; 4 nieces, 4 nephews, 4 great-nephews, and loyal bulldog, Keegar.

A funeral service will be held at 12:30PM on Friday, November 18, 2022, at Harding Funeral Home, 25-27 N. 2nd Street, Slatington.   Family and friends can pay their respects from 11 to 12:30PM at the funeral home.  

In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made to the funeral home to help defray funeral expenses.
