Irvin E. Fisher, Jr.

Irvin E. Fisher, Jr., 89, of Walnutport, passed away Sunday, November 12, 2023, at home.   He and his wife Marlene N. (Zellner) Fisher were married for 68 years.  Born in Slatington on January 31, 1934, he was the son of the late Irvin Sr., and Esta (Baer) Fisher.

  Irvin worked 15 years on the Reading Railroad and 20 years at Twin Lakes Golf Course, as well as many other jobs.

The last of 8 children, he will be lovingly remembered by his wife, Marlene; children: Eddy (Shirledene), Debby Strauss (Gary), Michael (Lisa), 7 grandchildren, 16 great-grandchildren.

A funeral service will be held at 11AM on Wednesday, November 15, 2023, at Harding Funeral Home, 25-27 N. Second Street, Slatington.   Family and friends may pay their respects from 10 to 11AM.  Interment to follow the service at Union Cemetery, Slatington.
