Jacob Paules

Jacob E. Paules, 53, of Emerald passed away Monday March 26, 2018 at Lehigh Valley Hospital, Salisbury Twp.  Born in Allentown, he was the son of the late Eugene and Maralee (Paules) Hunsicker.  Jake worked as a truck driver for various companies including Base Line Trucking of Allentown.  Prior to that, he worked briefly for Penn Big Bed Slate Co. in Slatedale.  Jake was an active member of the Emerald Star Hose Fire Co, serving as fire fighter and engineer for the past 35 years and was a former EMT for Slatedale Ambulance Corps.
He is survived by a daughter; Lisa Nurena of Schuylkill Haven; Grandchildren: Isabella & Gino Nurena; Sisters: Mary Muthard, Bonnie Hunsicker and Janice Laubach.
Services will be announced at a later date.   Arrangements are being handled by Harding Funeral Home, Slatington.  Contributions can be made to the funeral home to help defray expenses.
