James M. Batt

James M. Batt, 66, of Batavia, NY, passed away Wednesday, October 2, 2024, at the Hildebrandt Hospice Care Center in Rochester, NY.

Born in Abington, PA on January 28, 1958, he was the son of the late James H. and Margaret (Kelly) Batt. Jim received his BA degree from Boston College and MA degrees from the University of Mississippi and Rollins College (FL). He worked as a stockbroker for various companies. Jim was of the Catholic faith.

Jim is survived by his brother, Paul Batt and wife Alice, of Schnecksville, as well as nieces & nephews. He was pre-deceased by a sister, Kathleen Smith.

A graveside service will be held at 11AM on Thursday, October 10, 2024, at Assumption BVM Parish Cemetery, 7th St, Slatington. No calling hours. Arrangements are being handled by Harding Funeral Home, Slatington.
