Janet M. Hofmann

Janet M. Hofmann, 82, of Walnutport, passed away Sunday, October 27, 2024, at the Inpatient Hospice Unit, Allentown. She was the wife of the late Earl F. Hofmann, Sr., who passed away October 12. Born in Pennsville on November 16, 1941, she was the daughter of the late Max I. F. and Caroline (Heffelfinger) Achey. Janet worked as a sewing machine operator for the former DeVille Blouse Co., Danielsville, Fernbrook # 2, and several other local factories. She was a member of Christ UCC, Walnutport.

She will be lovingly remembered by a daughter: Deena Fital and companion Brian Blose of Lehighton; son: Earl F. Hofmann, Jr., and wife Dawn of Fl; grandchildren: Justin Hofmann, Travis Hofmann and wife April, Alysia Hough and fiancé Danielle Davis, Celina Fital and companion Kristopher Seiler; great-grandchildren: Autumn, Naomi; siblings: Marianne and husband Dennis Michael, Luther Achey and wife Roseann, Max C. Achey and wife Jane, Randall Achey and wife Suzanne; beloved feline companion: Fluffy.

Graveside services will be held at 11AM on Saturday, November 2, 2024, at Fairview Cemetery, Fairview Ave, Slatington. No calling hours. Arrangements are being handled by Harding Funeral Home, Slatington. In lieu of flowers, contributions in Janet’s name can be made to either Christ UCC, PO Box P, Walnutport PA 18088 or Lehigh Valley Hospice, 2024 Lehigh St, #100, Allentown Pa 18103.
