Joel R. Hubler

Joel R. Hubler, 68, of Slatington, passed away unexpectedly on Tuesday, April 16, 2024.  He was the husband of Susan M. (Kwedder) Hubler, whom he married on May 2, 1980.    Born in Pottsville on July 11, 1955, he was the son of the late Clarence and Fern (Kantner) Hubler.   Joel retired from Agere, where he worked as an electrical engineer for many years.    He was a faithful member of Hope Community EC Church in Fogelsville.    An avid gardener, Joel was passionate about home grown organic fruits and vegetables and sharing his produce with as many people as possible.    

In addition to his wife Susan, he will be lovingly remembered by a son: Nathanael E. Hubler of South Carolina; brothers: Paul Hubler of Huntsville, AL, Allan Hubler of Derwood, MD; sister: Ellen and husband Robert Degler of Auburn, PA.   He was pre-deceased by sisters, Judith Drexler, Miriam Kazelis.
