Josephine Babyak

Josephine Siverski Babyak , 88, of Slatington, passed away Friday, March 12, 2021, in the Lehigh Valley Hospital Cedar Crest.

She was the widow of John Babyak, who died in 2018, and to whom she was married to for 67 years.  Josie was the daughter of the late Theresa (Lendvay) Klutzaritz, and Walter Siverski, and stepdaughter of Antonio Antunes.  She work for Western Electric, Paris Neckware, and Northern Lehigh School District.  She was a member of The Assumption BVM church in Slatington.

She is survived by 2 daughters,   Teresa wife of Dennis Kistler, and Celeste wife of Ralph Williams, both of Slatington.

2 Grandchildren, Jason Williams and wife Shea,  Jessica and husband Andrew Mack.

4 Great Granddaughters, Madelynn and Samantha Mack, and Rebecca and Aria Williams.  She  was predeceased by sisters  Anna (Emma) Guedes, and her husband Manual,  Helen Stribrany and her husband Bill.  Brothers John Klutzaritz and wife Althea, Louis Klutzaritz and wife Mary.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11 AM on Thursday, March 18, 2021  at Assumption BVM Church, 649 W. Washington Street, Slatington, PA.

A calling hour will be held from 10 to 11 AM at the church. All in attendance will be asked to wear a mask and observe social distancing.

Interment to follow at the parish cemetery.  Arrangements are being handled by Harding Funeral Home, Slatington.  Contributions in Josie’s name may be made to the Assumption BVM Memorial Fund.
