Karen K. Schneck, 78, of Slatington passed away Tuesday, October 12, 2021, in her home. Born in Walnutport on February 11, 1943, she was the daughter of the late Woodrow and Lorraine (Snyder) Coffin. Karen retired from EB Games, working as a manager for various Lehigh Valley locations. Prior to that, she owned/operated a floral shop in Palmerton, and also worked for Paris Neckware in Walnutport. Karen was a member of Christ UCC, Walnutport, a lifelong member of the Emerald Fire Co., and volunteered with NOVA and the Shriners. She had an artistic flare and was passionate about gardening.
Karen is survived by children: James Schneck and wife Lisa of Lehighton, Lynette and husband Philip Zopf of Long Pond, Keith Schneck and wife Lorrie of Stroudsburg; 6 Grandchildren; 4 Great-Grandchildren; sister: Lois and husband Ron Szapacs of Slatington. She was predeceased by a granddaughter Lauren and sisters, Doris Smith, Joan Coffin, & Susan Kreiss
A celebration of life will be held at 1PM on Saturday, October 23, 2021, at Christ UCC, 309 Main Street, Walnutport. Immediately following the service, fellowship will be provided from 2 to 4PM in the church social hall. Arrangements are being handled by Harding Funeral Home, 25-27 N. Second St, Slatington. In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made to either the Slatington Library or to Shriner’s International, both c/o the funeral home.
