Karen J. Schoenberger

Karen J. Schoenberger, 64, of Danielsville, passed peacefully on Wednesday, October 25, 2023, surrounded by her three loving daughters.    Born in Norwich, CT, on May 19, 1959, she was the daughter of Verna (Nagle) Smith and the late Martin Gutekunst.   For many years, Karen worked as a warehouse picker for various companies, including Owens & Minor, Cigars International and Greif.

Karen enjoyed spending time with family doing arts and crafts and playing video games.   She loved to bake many different desserts to share with others and test out new recipes all the time.   Her favorite past time of all was attending many bingo establishments and playing Yahtzee with her mother and brother, enjoying the games they all loved together.

She will be lovingly remembered by daughters: Heather and husband Leodan Gonzalez, with whom she resided, Kristy Schoenberger and boyfriend Nicholas Tauber of Catasauqua, Brandy Schoenberger of Walnutport; Grandchildren: Kylea, Leodan, Aniyahlinn, Aryella, Emmi, Jai’veon, D’mitriy, Raiyne; brother: Martin Gutekunst; beloved dog & companion: Buster.

Private family services will be held.  No calling hours.    Arrangements are being handled by Harding Funeral Home, Slatington.
