Karl Drumm

Karl Drumm, 87, of Slatington, passed away suddenly March 18, 2023.  He was the husband of Gail C. (Rush) Drumm.   The couple met as pen pals in the 1950s and celebrated their 63rd anniversary last August.   Born in Viselbach, Germany on February 12, 1936, Karl was the son of the Otto L. and Martha (Kolbach) Drumm.  Karl served in the US Army, was stationed in Germany and obtained the rank of SP5.   He began his career working for IBM as a repairman, and later worked for Kodak and Dankae in the same capacity.  Karl was an avid fisherman and enjoyed watching International Soccer matches.

In addition to his wife Gail, he is survived by sons: Karl E. Drumm, and Erik T. Drumm, both of Slatington; grandchildren: Jacob Haydt, Anthony Fister, Nicholas Fister, Emma Fister, Faith Fister, Macie Keiffer, Aubrie Kieffer, Greyson Kieffer, Sarah Drumm and companion Ryan ; brother: Hans Drumm and wife Karin; nieces & nephews live in Germany.

Private family services will be held, no calling hours.   Arrangements are being handled by Harding Funeral Home, Slatington.
