Kathleen D. DeHaven

Kathleen D. (Kern) DeHaven, 80, of New Tripoli, formerly of Slatington, passed away Saturday, September 30, 2023, at Lehigh Valley Hospital, Cedar Crest.   She was the wife of Dale W. DeHaven, whom she married June 15, 1968.   Born in Allentown, she was the daughter of the late Clarence J.M. and Dorothy (Snyder) Kern.   A dedicated wife, mother, and grandmother, Kathleen was a homemaker, and previously worked for a brief time at the former ACME and Woolworths, both in Allentown.   She was a member of Weisenberg Lutheran Church.
In addition to her husband Dale, she will be lovingly remembered by a daughter: Michele and husband John Schutter of Orefield and their children Jordan, Brooke, and Zoe; son: Michael DeHaven of Hamburg and his son, Michael Jr..   She was predeceased by her brother, David Kern.

Private family services will be held, no public calling hours.   Arrangements are being handled by Harding Funeral Home, Slatington.
