Kathryn M. Moyer

Kathryn M. Moyer, 98, a resident of Gracedale, passed away Monday, February 24, 2025. She was the wife of the late Newton J. Moyer for 68 years prior to his passing away in 2010. Born in Wind Gap on September 6, 1926, she was the daughter of the late Frank and Evelyn (Warner) Dilcherd. Kathryn worked many years as a machine operator for the former Valerie Fashions and Gaye Sportswear, both of Wind Gap, before retiring in 1988. She was a faithful member of St. John’s Lutheran Church, Nazareth, life member of the Plainfield Twsp Ladies Auxiliary, and a former member of the ILGWU.

Kathryn will be lovingly remembered by granddaughters: Kathi and husband Brian Neff of Slatington, Michele and husband Raymond Smith of Palmerton, Lynnette Seiler-Wirth and husband Matthew Wirth of Bethlehem Twsp, Stephanie and husband Jack Mackowski of Yorktown, VA; grandson-in-law: James F. Andrews of Coopersburg; great-grandchildren: Lauren and husband Michael Maguire, Samantha, Christopher, Michael, Emily; great-great-grandchild: Jaslynne; daughter-in-law: Jennie J. Moyer and many nieces & nephews. She was preceded in death by a son, Ronald R. Moyer, daughter, Gale D. Seiler and her husband Ernest M. Seiler, III;  grandchildren, Ronald N. Moyer, Kelly L. Andrews, and siblings, Virginia Angelmoyer, Naomi Wagner.

A memorial service will be held at 11AM on Monday, March 3, 2025, at St. John’s Lutheran Church, 200 S. Broad Street, Nazareth, PA 18064. Visitation will be held from 10 to 11AM at church. Interment to follow at Greenwood Cemetery, Nazareth. Arrangements are in the care of Harding Funeral Home, Slatington. In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made to the church.
