Keiko S. Wicker

Keiko Tomono Wicker, of Slatington PA, passed away in her home on February 20, 2023, holding
the hand of her beloved husband, James Wicker, and her loving daughters Melissa Stehly and
Terry Cherney.
Keiko was born in Fukuoka, Japan, one of six children in the Tomono family. In the 1960s, Keiko
moved to Pennsylvania and fully embraced her new home. She learned to read, write and speak
English while working at Walp’s Restaurant, which is where she also met the love of her life,
James Wicker.
Keiko enjoyed traveling around the world and especially enjoyed going to California to see her
daughters and her Japanese friends. Keiko enjoyed life to the fullest and took great pleasure in
playing Bingo and visiting various casinos with her friends. She also loved to cook Japanese
food, often preparing large feasts for family and friends. Keiko loved her two daughters and was
extremely proud of their successes in life.
Keiko is survived by her husband James, her daughters Melissa and Terry, her sister-in-law Judy
and her nieces and nephews.
We are eternally grateful to the staff at Lehigh Valley Hospice, especially the Northern Team, for
the incredible level of love and care they provided for Keiko and her family.

Services will be held at 11AM on Friday, February 24, 2023, at Harding Funeral Home, 25-27 N. 2nd Street, Slatington.  Family and friends may visit with the family from 10 to 11AM.

 The reception will be at the American Legion, Post 16 Slatington directly next door to the funeral home.
