Kennard J. Szacska, 67, of Slatington, passed away Sunday, January 2, 2022, at Lehigh Valley Hospital, Cedar Crest. He was the husband of Gloria (Greenzweig) Szacska, whom he married August 3, 1974. Born in Lehighton, on May 15, 1954, he was the son of the late Julius and Marian (Hunsicker) Szacska. Kennard was employed at Stanley Vidmar, Allentown in the quality control department for 21 years. He loved riding his Harley Davidson, playing the guitar, listening to music, fishing and hunting with his brother Rodger. He was a former member of the Beltzville Flying Machines, remote control airplane club. He enjoyed cheering for the Kansas City Chiefs, and the Penn State Nittany Lions.
In addition to his wife Gloria, he is survived by a daughter: Jolene Marie Kulp of Slatington; granddaughter: Briana Marie Kulp of Slatington; mother-in-law: Elaine Holtzer of Lehighton; many nieces & nephews; He was pre-deceased by sisters, Michelene Renn, Denise Szacska, Christina Szacska.
A memorial service will be held at 6PM on Friday, January 7, 2022 at Harding Funeral Home, 25-27 N. Second Street, Slatington. Family and friends may visit from 5 to 6PM at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made to funeral home to help defray funeral costs.
