Lamar R. Hamm, 67 of Slatington died Wednesday August 16, 2017 in Lehigh Valley Hospital, Salisbury Township, surrounded by his loving family. He was the husband of Jayne A. (Scheffler) Hamm, celebrating their 47th wedding anniversary last August 23. Born in New Tripoli, he was the son of the late Ralph and Alverta (Guldner) Hamm. Lamar was a graduate of Northwestern High School Class of 1967. He worked for the American Nickeloid CO., Walnutport in the slitting department for many years before retiring. He attended St. Peter's United Methodist Church, Emerald, where he was the "Bread Man" of the Helping Hands Ministry. He was a life member and treasurer of the NOVA Ambulance Co., Coplay.

Services: 11:30 A.M. Saturday August 19, 2017 St. Peter's United Methodist Church, 7860 Center St, Emerald. Viewing 10 A.M. to 11:30 A.M. at the church. Arrangements are being handled by Harding Funeral Home, Slatington.
