Lillie M. Borger, 71, of Slatington passed away Sunday, January 2, 2022, at Lehigh Valley Hospital, Allentown. She was the wife of the late Morris Borger, and companion of 20 years to Ronald Kistler. Born in Palmerton on June 16, 1950, she was the daughter of the late Joseph S. and Margaret E. (Pettit/ Kehres) Salash. Lillie was graduate of Northwestern High School and was the cheerleading coach for Northern Lehigh for 25 years. She worked as a sewing machine operator for the former Fernbrook Manufacturing. Most recently, she worked as a receptionist for Heritage Village in Walnutport. Lillie continued to do various cleaning jobs and sewing tasks for anyone who needed it. She was a lifetime member of both the Emerald Fire Co, and the Slatington Skeet Club.
Lillie is survived by a daughter: Marci and husband Richard Klinger of Bethlehem; Ryan Borger of Las Vegas; grandson: Alec Cheesborough; companion: Ron Kistler; sisters: Patricia Lauchnor of Slatington, Rose Ellen and husband David Evans of Madison, AL; brother: Frank Salash and wife Rosa of Kutztown; step-siblings: Virginia, Shirl & Joel Kehres; many nieces & nephews. She was predeceased by a son, John Seiler, and a sister, Peggy Jo Wagner and step-brothers, William & David Kehres.
A funeral service will be held at 6:30PM on Monday, January 10, 2022, at Harding Funeral Home, 25-27 N. Second St, Slatington. Family and friends may pay their respects from 4:30 to 6:30PM at the funeral home. Interment will be private. In lieu of flowers, contributions in Lillie’s name can be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, 262 Danny Thomas PL, Memphis TN 38105
