Linda D. Schew

Linda D. Schew, 79, of Slatington, passed away Wednesday, July 31, 2024, at the Inpatient Hospice Unit, Allentown. She was the wife of the late Rollin C. Schew, who passed away in 2021. Born in Palmerton on April 21, 1945, she was the daughter of the late Calvin and Helen (Engle) Mase. Linda worked various jobs over the years, including The Flower Shoppe, Lehighton, Moller’s Distribution, Bethlehem, Miller’s Diner, and the former Paris Neckware. She was a nature lover, avid gardener, enjoyed arts & crafts, and was a former den mother. 

She will be lovingly remembered by her children: William Schew and wife Kathryn, Chris Schew, Terry Schew, Darlene and husband Leonard Snell, Robin Lee, Laurie Weaver-Diehl and husband Richard Diehl, Rachel Schew and husband Christopher Bellas, Angela and husband Kevin Brong; 21 grandchildren; 22 great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by a daughter, Ronda Toth and 1 grandchild.

A funeral service will be held at 11 AM on Saturday, August 10, 2024 at Harding Funeral Home, 25-27 N. Second Street, Slatington. Family and friends may pay their respects from 10 to 11 AM at the funeral home. Interment will be private. In lieu of flowers, contributions in Linda’s name can be made to either the American Cancer Society or St. Jude Children’s Research Center, both c/o the funeral home.
