Loretta M. Newhard

 Loretta M. Newhard, 87, of Walnutport, passed away Sunday, November 26, 2023, in her home.    Born in Walnutport, on August 12, 1936, she was the daughter of the late Everett C. and Dora (Snyder) Kaul.    Loretta was a graduate of Slatington High School, Class of 1954.    She retired from Nestle Purina, where she worked as a lab technician.  Prior to that, she also worked at Baker Chemical, Phillipsburg, NJ, and for the former Lehigh Valley Dairy.   Loretta was a life-long member of Christ UCC, Walnutport.

She will be lovingly remembered by her grandsons: Jason Newhard and wife Brooke, Matt Newhard and wife Heather, both of Walnutport; great-grandchildren: Joshua, Grady, Dawson; brother: James Kaul and wife Judy of Allentown.   Loretta was predeceased by her son, Michael Newhard, brother, Everett F. Kaul, and sister, Dorothy Keiser.

Private family services will be held.  No calling hours.     Arrangements are being handled by Harding Funeral Home, Slatington.
