Lorraine Muth

Lorraine E. Muth, 79, of Slatington passed away Tuesday, March 2, 2021 at Lehigh Valley Hospital, Cedar Crest.   Born in Allentown on February 28, 1942, she was the daughter of the late Elizabeth (Tabor) Muth.   Lorraine worked as a paraprofessional for Slatington Elementary School for 21 years, retiring in 2006.   She genuinely loved her job and the children she taught.   She was a member and former treasurer of Trinity Evangelical Congregational Church in Walnutport.   Lorraine enjoyed her visits to the Slatington Library and loved spending time with her children and grandchildren.
She is survived by daughters: Kim Sickler of Port Allegany, PA, Louise and husband Clifford Johnson of Oxford, PA, Diana and husband Scott Detweiler of Slatington, Sandra Marsh of Slatington; son: William Marsh, III of Slatington; 8 grandchildren, 8 great grandchildren; 1 great great grandchild; sister: Shirley Schweitzer of Kreidersville.   She was predeceased by a daughter, Christine Marsh, brother Roy Muth, and sisters Elsie Wertman and Bernice Shuey.
A funeral service will be held at 11AM on Monday, March 8, 2021 at Harding Funeral Home, 25-27 N. Second St, Slatington.  Family and friends may pay their respects from 10 to 11AM.   Interment to follow at Fairview Cemetery, Slatington.  In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made to the funeral home to help defray funeral expenses.
